How to Obtain Phantom Membrane in Minecraft

Phantoms are flying mobs that spawn at night in the Overworld if a player hasn’t slept for more than three in-game days. They attack from the air, making them a challenging foe, especially without preparation.
  

• The player must be under an open sky.
• Phantoms only spawn at night or during thunderstorms.
• The light level in the area must be low.
• The player must not sleep for at least three in-game days.

Before seeking out phantoms, make sure you have everything necessary to fight them. It’s recommended to bring:

• A bow or crossbow with the "Infinity" or "Power" enchantments.
• A sword enchanted with "Sharpness" or "Looting" (for more membranes).
• Reliable armor to protect yourself from their attacks.
• Food to restore health.

If you haven’t slept for three in-game days, stay under the open sky at night. Phantoms will begin spawning in the air and attacking the player. Be cautious, as they can attack in groups.

• Choose an open, flat area to make tracking their movements easier.
• If there are traps or tall structures nearby, use them for cover and observation.

When phantoms appear, attack them with your bow or sword. Remember, they often swoop down when attacking, giving you an opportunity to strike. When a phantom is killed, it has a chance to drop a Phantom Membrane. The chance of drops increases if you use a weapon enchanted with "Looting."

• Without the "Looting" enchantment, phantoms usually drop 0–1 membranes.
• With "Looting III," the chances and quantity of membranes increase.

Phantom Membrane can be used to:

• Repair Elytra at an anvil.
