Manual construction of an entire city takes a lot of time. Arnis is a tool that automatically creates cities, eliminating the need for long and tedious construction. In this guide, we will explore what Arnis is, how it works, and how to use it to create your own city.
What is Arnis?
Arnis is a city generator for Minecraft that creates detailed structures automatically. It allows you to generate a real city in Minecraft within minutes, using its map view, including:
- Residential buildings
- Roads
- Shops and office buildings
- Parks and public areas
The main advantage of Arnis is its flexibility. It allows you to customize various city parameters, creating unique architectural styles and building densities.
How to use Arnis?
1. Starting the generation
To get started, you need to download the program for your system and launch it.
2. Configuring city parameters
Once you open the program, a small window with a map and several buttons for additional settings will appear.
To select the generation area, click on the small black square and then use your mouse to highlight the part of the city you want to generate in the game. We recommend not selecting excessively large areas, as generating large cities may take a long time.
After selecting the desired area, you can choose the world where the city will be recreated—either create a new one or use an existing one.
Important: The city will start generating from coordinates 0, 0, which may destroy previously built structures.
In addition to selecting the map, you can configure additional parameters by clicking on the gear icon:
- Terrain – controls heightmap generation. If disabled, the city will be flat; if enabled, the terrain's elevation will be considered.
- Winter Mode – adds snow on rooftops, trees, and replaces grass with snow blocks in some areas.
- Scale Factor – determines the scale of the generated city.
- Custom BBOX Input – allows manual input of bounding box coordinates for the generation area.
- Floodfill-Timeout (Sec) – sets the maximum time for the floodfill algorithm to run. Increasing this value improves the generation of large water bodies but also increases processing time.
- Ground Height – sets the base height of the generated city, allowing for varied terrain elevation.
3. Generating the city
After configuring the parameters, simply press the start button. Arnis will begin creating the city, which may take some time.
Applications of Arnis
This tool is useful for:
- Creating maps for servers – fast city generation for role-playing games, survival, and PvP modes.
- Developing custom worlds – creating unique environments for single-player or multiplayer gameplay.
- Creative projects – focusing on details without spending time on constructing basic structures.
Conclusion
Arnis is a powerful tool that allows you to quickly build cities in Minecraft. Instead of spending hours on manual construction, you can use this generator and get a ready-made city in just a few minutes.
