Inventory Profiles Next (IPN): Organizing Your Inventory

Getting Started

After installing the mod, you will immediately notice new icons in your inventory and chest interfaces. The primary controls are bound to hotkeys.

1. Personalization: Press R + C to open the settings menu. Here, you can assign convenient hotkeys for all functions.
2. Sorting: By default, pressing the middle mouse button or the R key (if configured) instantly groups items in your inventory.
3. Configuration: In the menu, you can choose exactly how to sort items: by alphabet, by quantity, or by category (tools with tools, blocks with blocks).

Key Functions and Mechanics

1. Smart Sorting and Slot Locking

The standout feature of this mod is the ability to "freeze" specific inventory slots.

• Why it's useful: You can lock your sword, pickaxe, and food in the first three slots. During sorting, the mod won't touch them, while all the "junk" (dirt, gravel) will be neatly stacked at the end of the inventory.
• Empty Slots: You can configure the mod to always keep certain slots empty (for example, for quick crafting).

2. Automatic Tool Replacement

If your pickaxe or shovel is low on durability (it's about to break), IPN will automatically pull an identical tool from your inventory and place it in your hand. This also works when an item stack runs out (for example, when you place the last block of dirt and a new stack is moved to your hand).

3. Fast Chest Interaction

Additional buttons appear in the chest interface:

• Dump: Dumps your entire inventory into the chest with a single click.
• Move Matching: Transfers only the items from your inventory that are already present in the chest. Ideal for quickly restocking resources into the correct containers when you return to base.
