End's Delight — a mod for adding dishes made from End resources to Minecraft

End's Delight is a Minecraft mod that expands the Farmer's Delight cooking system with an End theme. In vanilla, chorus fruit and ender pearls remain technical materials, and killing mobs in this dimension yields no food. The mod turns End resources into a full-fledged culinary branch: it adds meat from the local creatures, plants, dishes and drinks, new cooking blocks, and knives.

Ingredients from End mobs

Most mobs drop loot only when killed with a knife; an exception applies to the dragon from version 2.5 onward — the loot drops regardless of the weapon, and the knife only increases the amount.

Grains and processed products

From two vanilla End items, the mod lets you obtain new ingredients by chopping with a knife on the Farmer's Delight cutting board:

• Chorus fruit → chorus fruit grain

• Ender pearl → ender pearl grain

The grains are used as groats in new recipes, opening up a separate line of groat dishes with an End theme.

New dishes and drinks

Most dishes are cooked in a Farmer's Delight cooking pot or skillet. The mod includes drinks made from chorus fruit and ender pearls (chorus fruit wine, tea), several hot dishes made from shulker meat, and various others. The main dish is dragon leg in sauce, designed for 6 players.

Blocks

End's Delight adds several blocks that integrate with Farmer's Delight mechanics.

• End Furnace — a cooking block with no GUI of its own. It supplies heat to the Farmer's Delight skillet and cooking pot and also independently smelts up to 6 items at once — of the same or different types. While active, it is extinguished with a shovel or a bucket of water and re-lit with flint and steel.

• Chorus fruit block — a compact storage for chorus fruit.

• Chorus succulent — a new plant that generates in the End's natural landscape. Up to 3 succulents can be stacked on top of each other on a single block.

The mod's knives

In addition to supporting knives from Farmer's Delight, the mod adds four of its own. Among them are a dragon tooth knife, an End stone knife, a purpur knife, and a knife made from the dragon egg's shell. The dragon tooth knife deals increased damage to four targets by default: the enderman, endermite, shulker, and Ender Dragon. The specific list of targets is taken from the same config and can be replaced if desired. To craft both of these knives, you need materials that drop when the Ender Dragon is killed.

Config (the essentials)

The configuration file is located at the path config/ends_delight-common.json. Four parameters change the behavior for the player:

• allowedMobs — the list of mobs to which the dragon tooth knife's increased damage applies and which drop extra loot when killed with a knife. By default: enderman, endermite, Ender Dragon, shulker.

• enableGristleTeleport — enables or disables the random teleport after eating enderman gristle. Enabled by default.

• teleportRangeSize — the maximum teleport radius horizontally, in blocks. Default is 24.

• teleportMaxHeight — the maximum height deviation of the teleport point, in blocks. Default is 32.

Conclusion

End's Delight makes the End a source of food and ingredients, rather than just a transit dimension for the sake of pearls and elytra. The mod suits those who are working through the late stage of survival, have won the fight with the dragon, and want to get extra hours of cooking content using End resources.
