Compliance 64x is an open-source texture pack that preserves the native style of Minecraft, but presents it in four times higher resolution. The pack keeps the recognizable silhouettes of blocks and items and adds detail where the standard 16×16 looks rough. This is not realism or cartoon stylization — the reference point here is the vanilla look.

Style

The pack works in the Jappa style: it is based on the updated standard textures (1.14 redesign). The palette, shape, and proportions remain the same, so the world is easily readable. The higher resolution provides finer details — wood fibers, stone grain, metal textures. The 64x textures are built on top of the 32x version of the same project, so both resolutions are consistent with each other.

Origin and Name

The project split off from the Faithful team and was initially released under the name Compliance. Later, after an agreement with the original author of Faithful, the team got the right to continue working under the name Faithful 64x. Because of this, downloads today are hosted under this name, even though it is the same pack. Development is conducted openly by the community.

What is Redone

• Blocks: building blocks (planks, bricks, stone), natural blocks (dirt, grass, ores, deepslate and its derivatives), and decorative blocks like glazed terracotta.

• Items: tools, weapons, armor, resources, and food.

• Mobs: some of the creatures have been redrawn in higher resolution, while the rest are being updated from version to version.

• Interface: icons and HUD remain in their vanilla look.

Addons

Separate addons can be enabled on top of the base textures:

• emissive textures — ores and certain blocks glow in the dark (OptiFine with the Emissive Textures option);

• connected textures (CTM) and overlays — seamless transitions for glass, stone, grass to paths (OptiFine or Continuity);

• minor adjustments such as bushy leaves or colored bow drawing.

Technical Requirements

The base pack works on the vanilla client without third-party mods. 64x is heavier than 16x and 32x, so FPS drops are possible on integrated graphics or old video cards, especially with high render distance. Advanced addons (CTM, emission, overlays) require OptiFine or a compatible alternative; for weaker hardware, a lighter 32x version is available within the project.

Compliance 64x is suitable for those who want to keep the native look of Minecraft but remove the rough pixelation — for survival, building, and servers in a vanilla aesthetic. Limitations: the higher resolution taxes the PC more, some effects are only available via OptiFine, and the pack itself is no longer updated under the name "Compliance" — current versions are released as Faithful 64x. If hardware is lacking, a lighter 32x resolution with the same style is available within the same project.
